What is Difference of ATC Spindle for CNC Router and Manual Tool Change Spindle
As per the technology develop nowadays,automation production become more and more important in factory.Because of different working materials and shapes etc there need different tools to process ,so in working we need many types tools,so the spindle develop from manual tool changing to automatic tool changing now.(it is called ATC spindle for cnc router ).
Tool changing speed has become an important index of high-level machining also.
Compared with the common electric spindle, the automatic tool changing spindle(ATC Spindle) has the advantage of eliminating the tedious process of manual tool changing when the tool is changed relatively frequently, thus completing the tool changing more quickly and accurately, greatly improved the production efficiency.
Therefore, in the choice of electric spindle, in addition to speed, power, tool change mode is also the choice of the right spindle one of the decisive factors.
The principle of ATC spindle for cnc router:
In the end of the ATC spindle it is a cylinder structure, the air pressure inside the cylinder pushes the ejector pin against the middle pull rod to make the chuck extend outward, the tool falls off, then the cnc router machine can use the shaft platform to grab the tool automatically, the rear end of the spindle uses a solenoid valve to release air pressure, which causes the tool to clamp, this process is called automatic tool change.
The advantages and disadvantages of the ATC spindle on cnc router:
1.Use the top of the atc spindle ventilation to make the internal cylinder piston movement, so as to drive the middle rod forward and backward, which can automatically open the chuck tool change and automatic indent Chuck.
2.The side air pressure is used to blow out the heat generated inside the spindle to dissipate the heat while the spindle is running, and the positive pressure inside the spindle is used to form a partial vacuum to prevent external dust and other substances from entering the inside of the spindle, damage to bearings and important air pressure running parts.
3.The air pressure of the top blade change reaches a certain value, which can turn on the spindle self-cleaning function.
4.Avoid manual tool change process, so that the work efficiency is greatly improved. The price is slightly higher than the manual tool change spindle
The advantages and disadvantages of manual tool change spindle
1. Manually rotate spindle top button to indent Chuck Tool.
2. A tool kit is required to indent the chuck tool at the front of the spindle.
3. The use of internal fans to cool and prevent dust and other materials from the spindle front into the spindle interior.
4.Make use of back-end ventilation pressure to form positive pressure in the spindle, to the spindle front flow, play a role in heat dissipation and prevent dust and other substances from the spindle front into the spindle.
5. Manual tool change requires longer time and manpower.
How to maintain of the ATC spindle on cnc router
1.Clean the dust in the working area
2. Clean the dust in the front clamp of the spindle with the accessory brush regularly
3. Keep the three-stage filtering effect for the side seal pressure and the top air pressure of the automatic tool changing spindle
4. The side seal air pressure of the automatic changing spindle must be guaranteed to be open
5. Open the spindle self-cleaning function (that is, air pressure through the top of the Knife Inlet, and then enter the rotor inner hole, from the rotor inner hole front of the installation of a Chuck Air, in order to clean the inner Chuck dust and other stains) .
